The Winokur Family Foundation has been committed to supporting institutions and organizations in education, health care and in our local community for the last twenty-five years. Following are examples of organizations in which the foundation is actively involved.

Squash Haven

Squash Haven believes that a focused and disciplined approach to both academics and athletics, in a team environment, allows boys and girls the best chance to reach their full potential and, in doing so, enrich their lives. We provide motivated and committed New Haven students with training in competitive squash, academic support and enrichment, and assistance with high school placement.

Delta Directions

Flat land planted in rows as far as the eye can see, the faint buzz of mosquitoes, the haunting rhythm of a blues lyric, the smell of southern-fried chicken or catfish, the sticky sweetness of humid nights, the slow drawl of conversations – all are images of the Mississippi River Delta that have remained for two centuries. Rich in history, but stretching to seal the cracks of changing times, this region continues to be a cultural magnet. Delta Directions provides resources for health and economic renewal of the Mississippi River Delta.
